<be> Fusobacterium nucleatum is a commensal oral bacterium turned pathogen. People whose colons are highly colonized by F. nucleatum have a higher incidences of colon cancer. This trend is strong enough that the presence of F. nucleatum is used as a marker for colon cancer risk.
