Morganella morganii is a gram negative,rod-shaped bacteria found in the Enterobacteriaceae family. This mircoorganism can be found not only in the environment but also in the intestinal tracts of humans, other mammals, and in the oral cavities of reptiles. <br />
<br />
Even though Morganella morganii has a widespread distribution it is most commonly found in nosocomial settings. Some infections it can give rise to are: urinary tract infections, sepsis, pneumonia, and wound infections.<br />
