Description and significance

Hyphomonas neptunium is a prosthecate (having a appendage or stalk) alpha-proteobacterium that was isolated from sea water in Barcelona, Spain and was originally named Hyphomicrobium neptunium. It is a rod-shaped budding aerobic bacterium.
