Comment from Charlie: This is a pretty detailed look at chemotrophs around vents. I find the part on the discovery of phototrophic organisms that harness geothermal light to be extremely interesting and unique. I also like that some discussion was included about the energetics of certain reactions (relative kcal/kJ etc.). This subject seems to be generating a lot of current research, so its great that many of your sources are so recent. Nice article.
