Phrases such as "Nowadays" and "Be that as it may" are colloquial and I would suggest using different phrases such as "Due to modern advancements in modern medicine" and "Even though there are treatments available" respectively.
Phrases such as "Nowadays" and "Be that as it may" are colloquial and I would suggest using different phrases such as "Due to modern advancements in modern medicine" and "Even though there are treatments available" respectively. Also the sentence that begins with "Be that as it may" is a runon sentence and I would suggest splicing it to two different sentences.
