I thought it was good and interesting! Though I think organizationally it might be better to put the "Lux Operon" section before the "Differentiation Techniques" section so that the latter section is more clear. I read the differentiation section first and was a little confused because I wasn't sure how the operon was arranged to begin with. Also, I think it would help to include a picture of microscopic-level photobacteria/bioluminescence so the reader will see what you're describing throughout the paper.
