Talk:Microcystis aeruginosa and the Effects of Microcystin-LR on Ecosystems and Human Health

Great page! I like how the topic ties into one of the talks which we attended this semester. The pictures are good and really illustrate your talking points. Perhaps consider adding one for the human health section? In addition, there are a few out-of-order citations which don't actually link to any references. Good work!

Hey Lauren! I loved this page! This topic is incredibly relevant to my hometown near Toledo, and algal blooms have always played a fairly big role in determining whether or not I could swim in the summers. I really admire how you addressed two major categories of how microcystis has an effect, both looking at it through the lens of ecology and human health. A particular fact that I was amazed by was your comment on zebra-mussles, mostly because one would never imagine those elements interacting with each other. One great place to add in an extra fact could be about the rat test where the reproductive system was affected. I'd be really interesting in hearing some more about that. All in all, this was a great job, and it was so fun to read. -Jessie Griffith
