Talk:Symbiotic Microorganismal Toxin Production in Pufferfish

Your page looks great! I thought it was really interesting. Overall, I think you did an awesome job! I only have two suggestions. Some of the sentences were a bit wordy, and could likely be broken up into multiple sentences to make it easier to digest. Also, there were a few different times where you cited the same thing multiple times in one paragraph. For instance, one paragraph contains three different [2] citations, even though nothing else was cited in between. Usually if I have a paragraph or two that all came from the same source, I just cite it once at the end of the paragraph. I only cite it multiple times if that paragraph contains another citation in the middle of it. This may totally be a personal preference though, so feel free to ignore that. Great job! - Lauren Michael

Richard, I really enjoyed reading your page - which was both well researched and well-organized! There are just a few suggestions I have for your page. The sections on the different possible methods of bioaccumulation of tetradoxin in pufferfish, and the evolutionary adaption of these fish to the microbially-produced toxin, were really interesting but the section that really sparked my curiosity and interest in the topic was the section which addressed the medicinal potential of tetrodoxin for chronic pain relief and the reduction of withdrawal symptoms of heroin addicts. It would be great if you could mention this topic somewhere near the end of your introduction so the reader begins reading the page with an understanding of the complex and multidimensional implications of this biologically produced compound - besides just the danger associated with its toxicity. In addition, I would consider finding one more image to add to your page just to break up the text a bit more. All-in-all, well done! - Lydia Wolf
