Talk:West Nile Virus and Acute Flaccid Paralysis
I thought your page was great. You did a good job of explaining the virus lifecycle, its transmission and its pathology. I would recommend proofreading it because there were a few sentences that were a bit confusing or that had grammatical errors. I think it would also be interesting to talk more about why certain species are dead end hosts for the virus. Also, I was curious as to how exactly the capsid protein initiates binding with host cells and I think it would be beneficial to talk more about that towards the beginning of the page. Overall very good job though. -Jack McDonald
Interesting page, Kate! I think you did a good job with getting down information about West Nile Virus. I never knew about the affiliation of paralysis with West Nile virus. As Jack already noted earlier, it'll be great if you could elaborate more on dead-end hosts and proofreading a bit more. An area that might need a bit more attention is the Background section. I noticed that Flaviviridae was misspelt and I was confused by "Midwestern and Rocky Mountains." I think you meant Midwest. Additional minor things would be to add the link to the image sources within your image caption. It'll be good to go back into all of your sections and italicize organisms and families that were missed. But overall, it was really interesting to learn more about West Nile virus!
