A typical two component system, similar to the system used in cell-cell signaling allowing for regulation of biofilm formation (and other behaviors) in Burkholderia cepacia. Contains a sensor kinase that is phosphorylated in response to environmental stimulus; and a response regulator, that is phosphorylated by the response regulator and goes on to effect an output response.
