Talk:Pneumococcal meningitis and the role of Streptococcus pneumoniae

From MicrobeWiki, the student-edited microbiology resource

Overall the page is written very well. The flow of the paper has a very logical progression and you do a great job of laying out all the aspects of the disease from introducing the pathogen to symptoms and treatment. There are some small points to correct. It's not really necessary to have the sentence in the introduction explaining figure 1. This sentence is superfluous and should be included in the figure legen. People can just look at the figure without it mentioned in the text. You do this again in the first paragraph of the S. pnuemoniae section. The sentence referring to the Gram stain figure should be in the figure legend. Also in that same paragraph, capitalize Gram when you say S. pnuemoniae is a Gram-positive bacteria. Other than those small points the wiki page is solid. -Kyle Hardacker
