Talk:Zaire ebolavirus: Pathogenesis, History, and Treatment of the Deadly Virus
Alec,
What an interesting page on a current deadly pathogen. With all of the recent epidemics and Ebola striking close to home, with cases entering America, this is a fascinating subject. The increase in incidence is definitely worrisome due to the extreme high death rates in all of the Ebola outbreaks. It is also very cool that the host response and fighting off of the immune system is so dependent upon a proper functioning immune system, which is our current class topic. Since one necessary immune response to Ebola is MHC-antigen recognition, I wonder if there will soon be a vaccination developed which can help the immune system identify the virus for areas with repeated Ebola outbreaks. Thanks for your hard work in developing this well written, interesting page.

Dear Alec,
My first impression of your page was that the page is very well formatted and neat. Throughout the page I found the material easy to read and follow. One typing error I caught was in the first line of the Host Response section -you need a space between Ebolavirus and infection. Also I would like to see you briefly mention the difference between the one strand that only infects primates and the four that can infect humans. I think that would be helpful. Overall great job.
Sincerely,
